H.E. McCracken Middle School provides each student with opportunities to strengthen their academic, social, and emotional skill set. Through building on the foundation that was set in elementary school, HEMMS is able to further enhance students’ academic ability and love of learning. Teachers create interactive lessons aimed toward achieving student growth. 

The social-emotional capacity of its students is a top priority of HEMMS. The school provides a responsive and equitable learning environment, where every student feels valued, respected, and welcome. The school’s community embraces, supports, and finds strength in their diversity. 

The academic offerings at HEMMS are purposefully selected and designed to prepare students for a successful transition to high school. As an arts-integrated STEAM school, McCracken provides a collaborative environment where students are engaged in exploration of creativity and critical thinking.
