Dear H. E. McCracken Middle School Families,

I am excited to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the principal of H. E. McCracken Middle School. I am honored to be trusted in this role for a school with so much history of highly proficient staff, high achieving students, involved parents, and an engaged community. At McCracken Middle we have all the ingredients for an excellent school, and as your principal, that will be our goal in each of our endeavors. Whether in the classroom, athletic competition, or scholastic events the standard will be excellence.

I have a long history in public education, working with students from pre-kindergarten through high school. I have served as a classroom teacher, athletic coach, and school administrator. I spent most of my career in Tennessee and have only been in South Carolina for two years. Even with my variety of experiences I know that H. E. McCracken has its own history and traditions. I promise to respect each of those as I become a member of this new-to-me community.

My initial goals are two-fold: Creating a school culture that respects the needs of all our stakeholders. This goal includes a safe and orderly environment, highly engaging classrooms, and positive home, school, and community relationships. Secondly, I will be collaborating with all members of our school community to implement a clear and focused vision. A vision that helps students, families, community members and school staff know our high-level goals of the future and action steps to get there.

For our school to be excellent, it takes all of us working together to achieve our goals. I am excited to begin our work together. Please know that I am available to you and want to hear how we can make your experience excellent at H. E. McCracken Middle School.
