Welcome, Bulldog Nation!

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! My name is William Murray and I am happy to serve as your athletic director. For the last nine years, I’ve called H.E. McCracken Middle my home. I am proud and excited to be a part of the BULLDOG NATION team!

As we begin this school year, I can’t help but think about the profound outpouring of support from our staff, parents, student-athletes, and the community at large. In the age of COVID-19, our student-athletes continue to be representatives, demonstrating our treasured motto: Academics first, athletics second. With an outstanding and dedicated coaching staff, I continue to be excited about the future.

As mentioned, we are in a new normal as it relates to COVID-19. I want to ensure all our stakeholders that my coaching staff and I have one main priority: the safety, and security of our student-athletes. To ensure this is happening, I have implemented several protocols, which include but are not limited to: coaches and student-athletes wearing personal protective equipment, 1:15 ratio practice/conditioning groups, temperature checks upon entry, constant sanitization of equipment, continued washing of hands, etc.

In closing, it is encouraging to know that our coaches, student-athletes, and volunteers stand ready to be ambassadors, representing Beaufort County School District and H.E. McCracken Middle School. I encourage you to get involved with McCracken athletics, either as a parent supporting us at games and practices or as students trying out for the multiple sports we have to offer.

Go Bulldogs!

Best regards,

William C. Murray, M.S., CAA
